Executive Summary:
Singletrack Trails commissioned Wagners CFT USA to deliver three bridges over creeks and sloughs as part of the trail system development in York County, South Carolina. The primary goal was to fabricate and deliver the bridges quickly to meet a compressed delivery schedule. Additionally, the Singletrack Trails aimed to achieve efficient bridge acquisition and erection with minimal reliance on machinery.
By selecting Wagners CFT’s trail bridge kits, Singletrack Trails achieved rapid bridge acquisition and erection in line with their compressed delivery schedule. The lightweight FRP girders provided by Wagners CFT significantly reduced the crew size and equipment requirements, enabling efficient transportation and installation.
The lightweight nature of Wagners CFT FRP girders enabled us to hike them in or pack them using micro-excavators into the remote areas where the bridges were situated. This innovative solution not only saved us time and resources but also ensured that the bridges were erected with ease, even in challenging terrains and timeframes.
